Kelsey Creek Farm

We've had a super fun last few days.  Wednesday afternoon the girls were playing at their water table in the driveway, when they decided to get their swimsuits on and have me spray them with the hose (we have drainage issues in our backyard so running through the sprinkler was not an option, and I need Paul to help me set up our new pool).  We saw their friend who lives a few houses down outside and invited her over to join us.  A little while later, another neighbor girl came and joined us also.  All four of them played together all afternoon, at our house for awhile and then at neighbor's house.
Yesterday was another beautiful day, and we had a mom's group playdate (hosted by the same mom and friend whose house they played at Wednesday) at Kelsey Creek Park/Farm.  There were lots of farm animals and the girls loved seeing them all.  After looking at all the animals, we played on the playground for awhile, then went home for lunch.











After lunch we went to the library for another mom's group meetup, the Not-So-Scary Monster Music Show.  It was a cute show with singing, dancing and puppets.  It was a busy but fun day.

We are having lots of fun little adventures this summer, too. I love this age, and this time of year!

A Day in My Life

  It's time once again for the Multiples and More Question of the Week:  A Day in Your Life. What is your schedule like? Do you work outside the home or stay home with the kids?   I am very blessed to be a SAHM.  Our schedule looks something like this: The girls get up anywhere between 7:20 and 8:20, but usually around 8:00.  Lately I've been letting them watch an episode of Dora so I can get on the computer and check email, Facebook, etc.  Otherwise they just play for an hour or so and then we have breakfast. By the time we're done with breakfast (fixing, eating and cleaning up) it's usually between 9:30 and 10:00.  We get dressed, and then we go wherever we're going that day (errands, park, playdate, etc.).  If it's a stay home day, I'll usually do a DVD workout while they just play upstairs and then we'll go for a walk or play outside after. First Day of 10th Grade

 Today was the first day of 10th grade for the girls.  Sophomores.  I can't believe we only have two more of these.  Not counting college, of course. Kayley Kayley again Olivia It has become my tradition to take the day before and the first day off.  Back in the elementary days, the day before the first day was "meet the teacher day", so I would always take them to that, then in middle school we would just go to lunch or get our nails done.  Last year was their first day of high school, though, so that day was orientation and that brings us up to this year.  The day before the first day is "Wildcat Day", which is mostly a freshman and new student orientation.  Olivia is in ASB so she had to go help with that, but Kayley didn't go.  Instead, her and I took some of her old clothes to this resale store called Plato's Closet to try and sell them (it's similar to a consignment shop except they just pay you then and there and then resell them, instead of o

A Very Belated 2023 Recap

I guess I took a bit of a blogging break.  I only blogged three times last year and this will be my first post so far this year.  I just haven’t been in the mood but now suddenly I am.  We’ll see how long it lasts. Where to even begin?  A lot has happened since I last blogged.  The girls are about to turn 16, have jobs and are on the verge of getting their driver’s licenses.  We took an amazing trip to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and Las Vegas last summer.  We celebrated our 17th anniversary and are closing in on our 18th.  We attended some great concerts, did some fun hikes and have had lots of fun date nights, game nights and girl’s/guy’s nights out.  Ok, I guess that’s not all that much but whatever.  So, I guess to start off my 2024 blogging, I will recap 2023: I turned 54 in January.
