Mother's Day and Anniversary

We went to Crescent Bar this weekend for a little mini get-a-way to celebrate Mother's Day and our Anniversary.  The girls practically lived in the pool the whole time.  It's so great that they can be in the pool without water wings and we don't have to be right there holding them.  They can touch in the shallow end and they can swim a little and if they have a noodle or kickboard or something they are totally good to go.  Of course we're always nearby and we keep a close eye on them, but I could actually lie on a lawnchair and read my book while Paul was in the pool with them and I didn't always have to be right there with them like in years past.  I have a cute video of them swimming but I'm having problems getting it to upload.

Anyway, we had a great time enjoying the nice weather and the pool, then we came home Sunday and went to dinner at the local Mexican restaurant and then to the yogurt shop for dessert.  The girls gave me cards they made in preschool along with some marigold seeds and cute garden stakes that they also made.  So sweet.

Yesterday was our Anniversary.  7 years.  We didn't really do anything.  We exchanged cards, he gave me red roses and I gave him See's chocolates and later this week or next his parents will babysit (they are currently on a cruise) so we can go out to dinner.

Transfer Anniversary

Today is the 5-year anniversary of my embryo transfer!  5 years ago today I became pregnant with my girls (I wrote about it in more detail a few years ago).  It was a Saturday that year, also. Olivia and Kayley at 3 days post conception (wish I knew which one was which): And Olivia and Kayley 5 years later: That photo is actually a few weeks old.  I tried to take one for today and this is what I ended up with: {Sigh}

First Snow of 2025

Yesterday it snowed for the first time this year.  I love when it snows when I don't have to go anywhere and can just stay home and admire it.  It snowed more today, and we took Kona out for a walk in the woods.  So pretty.

Senior Prom

Last Friday was the girls' Senior Prom.  A whole group of them met at a nearby park for photos, then they broke off into smaller groups and went to dinner and Prom.  Olivia and her group rented an Air B&B for the night, and Kayley spent the night at a friend's house with another friend or two. Olivia and Gavin (just friends) Everyone Just the guys Just the girls Olivia and Kayley
