Saturday Morning

It turns out that it's very hard to find time to blog during the week.  I meant to post a few times by now but couldn't quite get around to it.

But it's Saturday, and we blissfully have no plans, other than watching football. No Seahawks, though, because they are the NUMBER ONE SEED!!!!  Whoo-hoo!


My favorite thing to do on a Saturday morning is relax on the couch in my pajamas with a cup of coffee and play all of my favorite mobile games, then do some Bible study, then maybe some yoga or other workout or take the dog for walk.


I got this Bible in a Year book from the TikTok shop, but it was kind of misleading because the name implies that you will read the entire Bible in a year and that is not the case. 


The daily readings are all just a verse or two or three.  So next year I'm going to try the Bible Recap.

A Very Belated 2023 Recap

I guess I took a bit of a blogging break.  I only blogged three times last year and this will be my first post so far this year.  I just haven’t been in the mood but now suddenly I am.  We’ll see how long it lasts. Where to even begin?  A lot has happened since I last blogged.  The girls are about to turn 16, have jobs and are on the verge of getting their driver’s licenses.  We took an amazing trip to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and Las Vegas last summer.  We celebrated our 17th anniversary and are closing in on our 18th.  We attended some great concerts, did some fun hikes and have had lots of fun date nights, game nights and girl’s/guy’s nights out.  Ok, I guess that’s not all that much but whatever.  So, I guess to start off my 2024 blogging, I will recap 2023: I turned 54 in January. Show Us Your Life - Dining Rooms

It's time for this week's Show Us Your Life, brought to you by Kelly's Korner , and this week it's dining rooms. We have a very open floorplan, so when you walk in our front door the dining room is to the right and the living room to the left, with the fireplace straight ahead.  It's basically all one big room.     I bought the table and sideboard at Dania when I bought my first condo back in 2002.  It looked great in that condo, but for this house I wish I had black dining room furniture.  The table and sideboard are the same color as the trim, and then with the white walls (although we finally got one wall painted) it's just so blah.  And like most other rooms in the house, we have yet to hang curtains (not that we're going to hang them in every room, but we have yet to hang any).
