15 Years

Paul and I celebrated 15 years of marriage on Thursday, the 13th.  We went to dinner at a great little Italian place.  We both took Friday off and right after school we headed to Crescent Bar for the weekend.  Totally not for a romantic getaway but more of a work trip, getting the condo ready for the rental season.  The girls brought a few friends and our neighbor and his daughter (also a friend of the girls) came (stayed at a nearby campground) and brought their boat.  All the girls had a blast tubing. Oops, didn't get any pictures of the girls!

Mother's Day 2021

We had a nice Mother's Day.  I woke up early, around 6:00, and couldn't get back to sleep, so that was a bummer, but then we had a yummy breakfast of butter braids (my great-niece and nephew sell them every year for a fundraiser for their school) and bacon, then we went to Paul's parents' house.  We had a salmon dinner, then Paul and I took Kona for a walk on the neighborhood trail, then we did gifts, had a yummy white Costco cake with vanilla mouse filling, and then got home at a reasonable 6:30 (we hate getting home late on a Sunday when we have to work the next day). Kayley even let me take a picture with her.

So just some random updates.  I am down 14.4 pounds, mostly just calorie restriction, nothing else.  Not really doing the Intermittent Fasting anymore, although I keep toying with the idea of getting back to it, but whatever I'm doing now is working great so if it ain't broke...why drink black coffee (before 10 or 11 am) if I don't really have to? I think I already mentioned this, but the girls are finally back in in-person school, two days a week.  Tuesdays and Fridays.  I'm loving being able to work in peace those two days.  I sure hope they return full time in the fall. The other day I had to stop my car in the street to let this mother duck and her ducklings cross.  So cute. I have so much catching up to do.  I still need ...
