2019 New Year's Resolutions

2019 Resolutions I've said it before but I love the start of a new year.  I'm always excited for a fresh start and I have lots of motivation for new projects and weight loss.  If only it would last more than a few weeks.  Sigh.  Here are my resolutions for 2019:    Lose weight.  Always my #1 resolution, every year.  I don't care how much, I just want to start 2020 lighter than I am today (and then keep going from there). Have more date nights.  Now that the girls are old enough to stay home alone for up to a few hours I figured we can do some earlier happy hour type stuff close to home instead of paying a babysitter for an evening out.  We will still do that occasionally, but being able to do something earlier in the evening and not have to get a sitter (if we're going to leave them alone we prefer it to be earlier in the day, not late at night) will be a great way to make more date nights feasible. The Week Between Christmas and New Year's

On the day after Christmas, Paul and the girls went to his parents house, spent the night and then went skiing the next day with his sister who was visiting from Colorado for the holidays.  I had the day after Christmas off but had to work Thursday and Friday, so I couldn't go (not that I would have necessarily wanted to anyway-rental ski boots are not kind to me). Friday night we had a few friends over for a game night.  It was so fun.  We all had a great time and vowed to have more in the future, alternating houses.  We already have the next one scheduled a few weeks from now. On Saturday we took the girls to Enchanted Park for their Christmas lights and rides.  It's a theme park with rides in one part and a water park in another, the water park obviously being closed this time of year.  In December they put up all kinds of cool light displays.  We lucked out because it had been raining pretty good all day so we weren't going to go eve...
