Random Updates and Stuff

So other than yesterday I haven't posted in almost a month.  Not that that's anything new, but here's what we've been up to in the meantime. The girls have been playing soccer twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.  They have just a few more weeks of that and then they'll be done. Walking out on the field.  I think that's Olivia kind of facing backwards and left of her is their friend and then Kayley next to the real cheerleader. A Typical Week: Monday

I have SO much catching up to do but I'm going to leave that for another post because starting today I want to do a daily post for an entire week documenting what our typical week looks like right now.  I haven't done that in a really long time and I will want to have a record to look back on someday. I have to say, school is so hard!  Not for the girls, for US!  We don't get to come home from work and relax, or exercise, or pretty much anything but fix dinner, eat, clean up, do homework, read with the girls for 20 minutes (they can read on their own now (yay!) but of course they always want us to listen, so instead of getting lunch ready for the next day I still have to sit and listen to them read.  Sigh.), bedtime routine and make lunches and do other prep for the next day.  Sometimes I'm not done until 10:00, and then I end up staying up too late because I can't just go right to bed, I have to have some time to just wind down with a little TV or reading. So h

First Day of 2nd Grade

Today is the girls' first day of second grade!  I took the day off from work so I could enjoy the empty house and hopefully work on some projects.  But instead of taking the bus they wanted me to drive them to school AND pick them up so I'm going to lose about an hour of free time, but whatever.  It's way more than I would otherwise have if I was working today. This is the first year of them being in different classes.  We kept them together last year because one wanted to be and the other didn't care and they are not real clingy with each other anyway and are good about doing their own thing so we went ahead and kept them together, but this year they both wanted to be in different classes and we figured it would be good for them.  Kayley happens to have their 2 best friends in her class and I was SO worried that Olivia was going to be really upset, but it turns out that she has some other good friends in her class so she was totally fine.  Whew! Here are the obliga
