Nothing much happened in week 3, but last week was our vacation to Cabo San Lucas! We had so much fun! Here's a quick rundown of our week.
We got up at 3:00 AM on Saturday the 9th and the girls actually got right up with no hesitation. They were so excited. Our flight left at 6:45, we had a quick stop in San Diego and then were in Cabo around 2:00 PM Cabo time. We checked in, got settled in our room and then Paul's sister stayed with the girls while he and I and his parents went grocery shopping at Costco and Walmart. I think we went swimming that evening but I can't remember. I know we were all exhausted!
Sunday, our first full day, we spent the whole day by the pool. We ordered fish tacos and quesadillas poolside for lunch (and 2 for 1 drinks!). It was nice.
Monday we drove to Santa Maria beach and did some snorkeling. The rest of the day was spent by the pool.
Tuesday we swam with the dolphins! That was so cool and the girls loved it. The rest of the day was spent by the pool and in the evening there was a party with free appetizers and mango margaritas and a mariachi band.
Wednesday we went to town and had lunch at Cabo Wabo. This was a big bucket list item for me but no one was that impressed. It is probably a really cool night spot, but for lunch we could have done much better at one of the little eateries along the marina and for a lot less money. But I really wanted to see the place so I'm glad we went.
After lunch we hung out at another beach right downtown, then Paul and I had a date night and went to dinner at the resort's finest restaurant.
Thursday was another hang by the pool day, but I did get a massage and a pedicure at the spa. That evening we did a sunset dinner cruise.
And after the cruise while walking back to our car the girls had a photo op with an iguana. Almost as cool as the dolphins.
Friday was another day of lounging by the pool, plus packing to go home, and Saturday we checked out at 10:00 AM, and had just enough time to go to a nice breakfast buffet before the shuttle came to take us to the airport.

The requisite couple selfie
Not a real Starbucks, but the resort's coffee shop "proudly serves Starbucks" (you can barely see the sign in the upper right). Works for me.

(And I have to share that we were in Mexico last fall. We went to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins. I still feel a little guilty about it, but I dragged the family into Starbucks there outside Tulum. I wish I could say I was supporting somewhere local, but this mama needed a latte!!!) ;)
